We Are a Place of Learning
Our instructors are licensed educators who are passionate about sharing their experience and knowledge of the industry with students and helping them to realize their full creative potential. From the very beginning, your child is immersed in an actual salon/spa environment with actual salon/spa guests. It's an exciting and exhilarating setting for learning. Each day they'll spend time with instructors in a classroom-style setting learning about techniques and have hands-on training to practice the techniques with the instructor there to guide and assist them.
What We Teach
In addition to mastering the theoretical and practical knowledge required for the state licensing examinations, your child will also learn practical business and retailing skills which will help them to grow their clientele and sucsessfully sell retail. Students will also have many opportunities to further their talent and skills by participating in photo shoots, fashion shows, guest workshops/lectures and even our Study Abroad program. Students are also asked to participate in community service events to give back to society and create opportunities to share the Aveda Mission.
Future Outlook
The beauty, health and wellness industries have been experiencing growth over the last several years and prospects are bright for the future. The average full-time salon salary across the US is $50,000 per year. In addition, the price of a hair cut in an Aveda salon is twice the industry standard meaning an Aveda salon stylist has a greater income potential than the national average! Dual-licensed spa technicians can expect to earn up to $60,000 within the four years.
